April 12, 2017 BMSTU opened the doors to everyone who wants to get acquainted with the university. Within the framework of this event REC “Ion-plasma technologies” conducted excursions for entrants and their parents.
During the excursion the students learned about where one can find plasma in nature, science and technology, about the latest researches in the field of dusty plasma and on the practical application of plasma in modern technologies. The guests were shown modern research equipment, industrial samples of installations for various coatings and analytical laboratory of the center. Just as curiosity was introduced to the educational and scientific center “Photon Energy”.
At the end of the excursions, each of the guests could feel like an engineer, taking part in the process of applying titanium to the samples using a magnetron sputtering system. As a result, each participant received as a souvenir a small souvenir.
