April 11, 2017 BMSTU was visited by the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Olga Vasilyeva. Within the framework of the visit, the minister also visited the REC “Ion-Plasma Technologies”. The activity and the latest developments of the center were shared with the executive director Dmitry Dukhopelnikov. The minister was shown the work of an industrial sample of an installation for applying thin-film coatings for the electronics industry. She also inspected the analytical laboratory of the center, in which the properties of the applied coatings and materials were determined.
The visit was completed in the conference hall of the center, where Olga Vasilyeva. met with young teachers and scientists of the BMSTU. The meeting discussed important issues affecting various spheres of life in higher education. Issues related to postgraduate studies, educational standards, systems for assessing the effectiveness of the scientist, and others were discussed. At the end of the meeting the minister thanked the rector for the warm welcome and for the preservation of the country’s golden elite.
